Piña Colada – The Original Recipe
A tropical Piña Colada! Everyone who has been on a summer beach holiday, has had one!

Origin of piña colada
Although we usually associate this cocktail with laid-back pool side vacations, the Puerto Rican pirate Roberto Cofresí boosted his crew’s morale, giving them a beverage or cocktail that contained coconut, pineapple and white rum in the 19th century. This was what would be later known as the famous piña colada.

It doesn’t really matter whether it boosts morale or if it has a relaxing effect, it is simply amazing. Shaking the ingredients is the easy and most common way to make this tropical cocktail, but the frozen version with freshly blended pineapple makes this refreshment last longer!
