Cocktail – Long Island Iced tea
A Long Island iced tea is typically made with gin, vodka, tequila, light rum, and triple sec or Cointreau. A dash of lemon juice and a top up with coke gives this cocktail a similar colour to iced tea. Don’t be fooled with the name as it is loaded with alcohol and there is no tea included in this drink.😊

The origin of this drink comes from a bartender who worked on Long Island, New York in 1972 and created this drink to enter a contest.
All ingredients are usually poured over ice in a long drink glass, a hurricaine glass, or a fancy high cocktail glass and gently stirred to mix.
If you mix with low sugar drinks, like us, the alcohol will be more noticeable.
