Grilled Watermelon with Feta Cheese
It’s summer and we are looking for light and flavourful recipes! Search no more and try this grilled watermelon with feta cheese. It’s different, colourful, and tasty!
Grilling watermelon adds a charred, slightly smoky flavour. Simply cut thick slices but keep the rind attached to avoid the watermelon falling apart while grilling. If a whole melon is too much for your needs, ask for half or choose a smaller melon.
Season with your favourite spices such as chilli or paprika. Citrus will add a refreshing touch, and a little sugar is optional but optimises the grill marks through caramelisation.
The grill needs to be very hot before adding the fruit. This will show clear grill marks without overcooking the watermelon. This salad is made in a similar way as our grilled mediterranean vegetables or you can also use a grill pan to prepare this recipe.
‘Less is more’ is the perfect expression for this dish! Crumble feta cheese over the grilled watermelon and garnish with black olives, basil leaves, and black pepper from the mill.

I love it, I could eat watermelon every single day of my life. I hadn’t thought about throwing it on the grill. I may have to do this for my birthday!
